The League requires public apology to André Santini

nov. 6 2009

The League sent the following message to André Santini :

Dear Sir,

during your speech in praise of the young "King" Jean Sarkozy on the discussion Orange / Le Figaro, you have assimilated the opponents to the electronic voting to Holocaust deniers, by answering this question :

"Electronic voting, which is too opaque and too expensive, is declining in many democracies. Why do you insist on imposing it to your fellow citizens ?"

Morano * and the "finest crap invented by human" **

oct. 23 2009

The League Odebi have seen with amusement the synthesis report of the Commission's family, media education lead by the cyber-celebrity Nadine Morano.

If child protection is an obvious necessity, it should be however to question ourselves about the real intentions hidden behind the proposed content tattoo, such as violent or pornographic contents, arguing that it would protect children.

Of course, the Secretary of State will now have to explain to the French people how it intends to take to impose his tattoo to video exabyte continually posted by the porn cyberindustrie.

Hadopi : The Constitutional Council to piss on himself

oct. 23 2009

The League Odebi is dismayed by the decision of the Constitutional Council for the establishment of a graduated response in France.

On the basis of the principle of the penal ordinance : it is clear that the judge punishes, but without proof and without debate : many people will have neither the possibility nor the energy to challenge this.

Frederic Mitterrand should leave

oct. 13 2009

The League ODEBI notes that Mr. Mitterrand, who became our de facto minister of supervision regarding its attitude for HADOPI, is no longer able to represent in a balanced manner, the rights of the Internet and culture industries even though the debate is launched about the remuneration of the latter.

It seems clear, indeed, that the Minister puts some recognized artists in areas of "lawlessness" even though it has implemented the law "création et internet" said 'HADOPI' which denies the right to defend internet users while making them responsible for the scams they should be a victim.

The League ODEBI says it is not the role of the Internet users to work to correct some inconsistent business mode

oct. 10 2009

The League ODEBI says it is not the role of the Internet users to work to correct some inconsistent business model. The culture industry must accept the rules of a market she is claiming for but must not blame the internet users for not wanting to find a solution to their own problem.

The League is totally opposed to the introduction of a new fee of 5 euros for the right to download copyrighted works on P2P networks.

oct. 3 2009

The League ODEBI shared the aversion of "la Quadrature du Net" and the "UFC Que Choisir" against HADOPI and LOPPSI laws, but is totally opposed to the introduction of a new fee of 5 euros for the right to download copyrighted works on P2P networks.

This proposal is not acceptable in terms of artists remuneration, or in terms of dissemination of diverse works, either in terms of access to the culture for everybody.

In a purchasing power crisis, it is absurd that consumer's associations accept to make paying once again always the same people (the consumer).

The League ODEBI calls for civil disobedience

The League ODEBI notes with no surprise the final vote of the law 'Internet et Création' said 'HADOPI' which is the name of the monitoring authority put in place.

HADOPI is the 4th successive law that people have to suffer for 7 years now. We already had LSI law project under the Socialist government of Jospin, then LCEN and DADVSI under the Villepin governments and finally HADOPI under Fillon / Sarkozy.
