Hadopi : The Constitutional Council to piss on himself

The League Odebi is dismayed by the decision of the Constitutional Council for the establishment of a graduated response in France.

On the basis of the principle of the penal ordinance : it is clear that the judge punishes, but without proof and without debate : many people will have neither the possibility nor the energy to challenge this.

On the basis of sanction : the people convicted will not be convicted for infringement, but because they did not secure their internet connection. Is the legislature laughing regarding the people ? : how can we do for example to install a security software on a Cisco router cable that was never designed for that ? This is simply not possible. Then the French should be condemned for not having done something which is impossible to do ! Will The Constitutional Council send a letter to Mr. Cisco, asking him to adapt its products to their deliriums ?

On the basis of the sanction effects :
- Let's be clear, this is collective punishment, affecting the whole family, which has been reported by Michel Rocard. This kind of sanction is unworthy of a democracy.
- The punishment is wholly disproportionate : Internet does not serve only for cultural content, it can also lead to learn, to express themselves, to access to knowledge, to administrative online services ... A family would be deprived of these rights which have become in our today's society a must ? Access to the Internet must now be clearly stated as a fundamental right.

On the basis of additional penalties: Saying that the punishment is to take the subscription for a suspension of a two years imprisonment (paragraph 31) "does not establish a penalty grossly disproportionate", the Constitutional Council shows their total disconnection of the today world .

For these reasons, the League invites all Internet users, especially those that are « pinned » by the Hadopi law to join the Digital Army (http://www.armee-numerique.com/), and particularly to fight for the access to the Internet to be recognized as a human right in France, as it has been done in Finland.
