The League Odebi have seen with amusement the synthesis report of the Commission's family, media education lead by the cyber-celebrity Nadine Morano.
If child protection is an obvious necessity, it should be however to question ourselves about the real intentions hidden behind the proposed content tattoo, such as violent or pornographic contents, arguing that it would protect children.
Of course, the Secretary of State will now have to explain to the French people how it intends to take to impose his tattoo to video exabyte continually posted by the porn cyberindustrie.
Nonsense. If the tattoo has nothing to do with child protection, it has directly to do with copyright and censorship of media. A certain number of unflattering TVs stories regarding some politicians could be systematically blocked because of any attempt to upload on youtube or dailymotion. This would avoid any further lots of comments sometimes very painful indeed.
The League is opposed to tattooing, as it is opposed to filtering. The child protection must be done through the parents responsibility, and indirectly possible by the installation, following the parents wish, of a parental control software on their PC and nowhere else.
The child protection is an excuse : the final proposals of the report are only a new « pedo-trojan » which is actually intended to spur the deployment of filtering technologies and thus to censor ISP and hosts.
Education for the use of media is the responsibility of parents and teachers, and do not rely on labeling tools or similar to what had been proposed in the Tessier report [1]. It is hard to make weakest regarding the training for the future generations to rely on "trusted site" granted by the Ministry of Communications. Maybe we must ask to the parliament to write the history books.
Regarding the « good use » of education, this probably making a reference to the law, the law must be realistic, readable, and appropriate, which would require a prior minimum basic training of the Members of the Assembly.
Regarding the role of CSA, we have already warned some years ago that its field of action was soluble in convergence [2]. The CSA was intended to allocate poverty, which is the exact opposite of what is available on the Internet: Exabytes of data that no organization can reasonably expect to control.
Regarding recognition software of the age, the League Odebi recommends that they should be implemented at the entrance of the Thai tourist establishments.
